We were sitting on our couch in the basement in our townhouse and wondering what houses were going for in the area.  So we decided to take a look.  We looked at a couple of websites and contacted a realtor and found this place only two miles from the townhouse.  It was really rough but was huge and had massive potential.  The lawn and front yard was overgrown by about 10 years.  The inside had be neglected to so bad that it made our skin crawl.  But we asked to get an inspection before we would make a decision.  Since it was a foreclosure it would not hold up weight.  But, at least we would know if there was anything wrong with it.  We looked at it on a Saturday and scheduled a inspector on a monday morning.  To our surprise the bank did not know that we were considering it and had paid a company to come in a clean it up, put all new carpet in and paint it top to bottom.  SWEET.   At least it would be clean, that was half the battle.  From there you can see the transformation.
